1200年以上の伝統技術が作り上げる美濃焼で壁のかけらを表現するタイル

時代と共に変わりゆく文化のかけらを切り取り、独創的に表現していくアート

 

互いに異なる表現の「かけら」が混ざり合い、新しい世界を作り上げる

 

世界を舞台に力強いアイデンティティを表現する新進気鋭の日本人アーティストと、

美濃に根付く伝統産業を受け継ぐクラフトマンたちが、今までの概念を壊し再構築していくプロジェクト。

 

タイルでアートを作るのではなく、アートが作りだすタイル

それが「Wall Fragment」

A tile that expresses a wall fragment with Mino-yaki created by over 1,200 years of craftsmanship.

Art that expresses itself creatively by absorbing a culture fragment that changes with times.

 

These “Fragments” of different perspective get merged together

and create a new world.

 

This is a project to reconstruct a new idea by breaking stereotypes with young and energetic artists

who express their powerful identities worldwidely and craftsmen who succeed to its traditional industry rooted in Mino.

 

We don’t make art by tiles, we make tiles by art.

 

This is who we are as “Wall Fragment”.
